Congressional Democrats: "Investigate Flynn or Step Aside"

Democratic Members of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform took a strong and public step towards a full investigation of Lt. General Michael Flynn, the administration's National Security Advisor. 

“Today, all Democratic Members of the Committee write to you jointly to request that you either reconsider your decision and initiate this investigation, or step aside and allow the Committee to vote on conducting basic oversight going forward,” the Members wrote.

Bipartisan Team of Senators to Propose Russia Review Act to Ensure Sanctions Continue

Amidst growing concerns that the White House is overly deferential to Russia a team of 6 Senators, 3 Republicans and 3 Democrats, have proposed the Russia Review Act. Senators Graham (R-SC), Cardin (D-MD), Rubio (R-FL), McCaskill (D-MO), McCain (R-AZ), and Brown (D-OH) want to ensure that any easing of sanctions goes through the Senate first.

Trump Admin National Security Officials Investigating Polish Incursions into Belarus...Which Aren't a Thing

In another move distancing the United States from our NATO allies, the Trump administration national security officials are seeking information on a non-existant threat against Belarus from NATO-ally Poland.

According to one U.S. official, national security aides have sought information about Polish incursions in Belarus, an eyebrow-raising request because little evidence of such activities appears to exist. Poland is among the Eastern European nations worried about Trump's friendlier tone on Russia.

"American Sovereignty Restoration Act" Seeks To Leave United Nations

The American Sovereignty Restoration Act was introduced January 3, 2017 by Representative Rogers of Alabama’s 3rd District. It proposes to repeal the United Nations Participation Act of 1945, terminating the United States’ relationship with the United Nations under the guise of maintaining U.S. sovereignty.

This bill repeals the United Nations Participation Act of 1945 and other specified related laws.
