Bipartisan Team of Senators to Propose Russia Review Act to Ensure Sanctions Continue

Amidst growing concerns that the White House is overly deferential to Russia a team of 6 Senators, 3 Republicans and 3 Democrats, have proposed the Russia Review Act. Senators Graham (R-SC), Cardin (D-MD), Rubio (R-FL), McCaskill (D-MO), McCain (R-AZ), and Brown (D-OH) want to ensure that any easing of sanctions goes through the Senate first.

The Russia Review Act would require the White House to submit a report detailing why it was seeking to lift sanctions, setting into motion a 120-day review period where Congress could vote to disapprove of easing the penalties on the country, according to a summary of the measure provided to CNN.
