CFPB needs to open an investigation into mismanagement of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Thousands of public service workers need protection from ongoing harm.

At the Smart Dissent Education page linked here, we have written over and over and over about the heinous efforts of the worthless Betsy DeVos to destroy our education system.  Instead of drastically needed help for our schools and students, DeVos repeatedly inflict more pain in new ways.

Despite his false claims otherwise, the cost of Trump's trade-war-by-tweet will land "entirely" on American families.  Imagine that.

Americans are paying more because of Trump's Tariffs against Chinese goods. The Trump admin's erratic trade policy means that there remains the risk of further escalation and a further burden on the American people.

When you have greedy, ignorant people in charge, you are going to get results like this.

 Trump plans to reduce the annual refugee cap to 18,000 in the coming fiscal year, the State Department said Thursday [9/26/19].  The lower ceiling follows a trend under Trump of cutting refugee levels every year.  

The coming year’s 18,000-person cap will be the lowest since the refugee resettlement program began in 1980, a major shift from the 110,000 refugee admissions President Barack Obama proposed for fiscal year 2017.

We have been warned that the Trump administration and Republicans might move from targeting illegal immigrants to green card holders to naturalized American citizens to U.S. born citizens with the “wrong” immigrant parents. Trump's tweet just in early August 2019 telling members of Congress to “go home” shows the next progression.  And now this:

The Trump administration introduced a new rule Monday [8/12/19] making it harder for low-income, legal immigrants who receive food stamps or other forms of taxpayer-funded assistance to stay in the country legally.

Our banking regulators, who are supposed to create and enforce rules that product us, have removed regulations for Wall Street banks, giving them one of their biggest wins under the Trump administration.

We’re experiencing more natural disasters than ever before. Climate change is only making them more deadly. Now, Trump is taking critical money from FEMA to further his cruel anti-immigration agenda.

The Trump administration plans to shift at least $155 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster relief fund to support its policy of returning some migrants to Mexico.

Freedom of religion does not mean freedom to discriminate. The proposal by Trump's Republican administration outlined below seeks to dismantle decades of civil rights progress.
