The thing about Republican's xenophobia is that it's impartial.  What we mean is that they hate literally everyone who isn't exactly like them. 

Click on Smart Dissent's Immigration page and you'll see headlines for dozens of pages of their actions to remove anyone non-white from the country they can.  Muslims, Mexican, refugees previously granted emergency status, Latin American's seeking asylum, new restrictions on legal immigration, lowering of refugee acceptance, and much more.  Here's a new one:

Trump hates his own Justice Department Attorney General Jeff Sessions.  In fact, in early June it was reported Trump won't even say Sessions' name anymore.  We hate Sessions as well.... and Trump too.

And they hate women, particularly abused women seeking to escape from extreme danger.  This is just unbelievable, like so many things going on right now.

There has been some confusion recently regarding TWO SEPARATE immigration issues related to children arriving at our border seeking asylum.  The one about "missing" children is alarming but actually not as bad as it sounds.  

The Trump administration is considering restrictions on students and researchers from China over concerns that they could be sharing American technology and trade secrets with the Chinese.  They would bar Chinese citizens from engaging in research at American universities and research institutions.

In our August 15, 2017 post linked HERE, we provided a primer that explained what DACA is and why it exists after President Obama's 2010 DREAM legislation was filibustered by Republicans in Senate to prevent a vote.  

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions shut down DACA.  He provided lies about these people to justify the move, offered no details of how the program could be wound down, and took no questions (because he has no answers).  

The neo-conservative, alt-right, and Republican leaders pulling Trumps strings continue to achieve their goals without any publicity.  It's seemingly "small" things like this that ruins the lives of human beings but happen under the radar and get lost in the deluge of awful news.

The U.S. immigration courts will temporarily halt a program that offers legal assistance to detained foreign nationals facing deportation....

Give them credit.  Trump's handlers are experts at one thing: knowing how to issue executive orders and memorandums that destroy lives with no checks and balances.  It's an evil marvel to see these terrible things occur and almost no one reading this has any idea when they happen.

The consequences of Trump's repeal of DACA are real, unjust, and devastating.  Congressional Republicans lack of action on the topic ought to push each of their spineless bodies out of office.

Arizona students protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program will no longer be eligible for in-state college tuition, the state Supreme Court ruled Monday.

.....DACA recipients, often called DREAMers, who have been granted "lawful status" but not "legal status" do not qualify to pay resident rates.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is ending its practice of automatically releasing pregnant women from detention.  This is because of Trump's executive order “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States,” which requires stricter enforcement of immigration laws. Previously, the agency’s general practice was to release women from detention who were pregnant.

Sometimes we see a headline and click it in disbelief, hoping it can't be true.  We wait for the article to load while shaking our head and sometimes it's not as bad as the headline appears.  This is not one of those cases.  This is beyond belief.

Private-prison companies that allegedly force undocumented immigrant detainees to work for little or no money have a powerful new group of advocates: Eighteen members of Congress.
