Truth is stranger than fiction.  It's hard to believe this is real.

Unfortunately, we've written about nutritional assistance several times on Smart Dissent.  Otherwise known as 'food stamps,' it's been necessary to add post to our database as Republicans, including the Secretary of Agriculture (USDA) Sonny Perdue, seek to harm the most vulnerable people in our society.  Meanwhile, they proudly hand out corporate welfare to massive corporations and uber wealthy people.  

Alex Acosta, the now-former Labor Secretary, is a despicable person unworthy of the time it takes to type this post.  However, it's important we know the harmful actions he began so we can try to correct them when sanity is restored to our federal government someday.
