In late December 2019, the New York Times published a long list of the ways the Trump administration has interfered in government science.  The Republican war on science is a targeted one, focused on gutting regulations that will enrich Trump's corporate donors at the expense of the public.

In just three years, the Trump administration has diminished the role of science in federal policymaking while halting or disrupting research projects nationwide, marking a transformation of the federal government whose effects, experts say, could reverberate for years.

Regulations protect us. We've said it over and over.  When we say "us," we're including our environment and living creatures that create this delicate ecosystem. Republicans do not care and tear regulations apart in the name of immediate profits for their corporate overlords.

Trump is trying to slash protections for more than 9 million acres of national parks. Trees that are more than 1,000 years old will be razed.

Making America dumber every day.  Ignorance and hate are not virtues except for today's Republicans.

The little-known Genealogy Program administered by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services allows genealogists, family historians and other researchers to obtain citizenship and alien registration files, visa applications and other records documenting the lives of deceased immigrants who arrived in the United States between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries.

It is nonstop chaos in this country which doesn't leave time to celebrate some minor victories.  In this case, Barry Myers, Trump's pick to lead NOAA, has withdrawn his nomination. This is a big win.   He was yet another person picked to lead a government agency whose life goal is to destroy that agency.

Andrew Wheeler took over somewhat quietly for Scott Pruitt and in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency.  He loves erasing PROTECTION of the ENVIRONMENT it from existence.  He's been attacking our environment and our future in hundreds of very meaningful ways.  

Disgusting levels of greed and evil to knowingly sell a product that will destroy the planet and our children's futures, but that is the mindset of a fossil fuel billionaire.

And every elected Republican takes their money and works on their behalf to allow this to continue.  Future generations will have no ability to understand how this is possible.

At the halfway mark of Trump’s first term, his administration has hired a lobbyist for every 14 political appointments made, welcoming a total of 281 lobbyists on board....  With a combination of weakened rules and loose enforcement easing the transition to government and back to K Street, Trump’s swamp is anything but drained.

The premise of this web site database in January 2017 was to track what Republicans and Trump are doing that often does not ever reach the mainsteam.  Here, unfortunately, is a perfect example.
