Republicans Will Cut Medicare and Social Security Admits Larry Kudlow, the TV Show Host Now Advising Trump
Trump administration officials and many Republicans are so lost in their bubble they sometimes say out loud exactly the evil they plan to do. It's as if their stupidity overtakes their evil for a moment and they give up their entire game plan to us. Is anyone paying attention?
A top economic adviser to Trump said on Monday [9/17/18] he expects.... there would likely be an effort in 2019 to cut spending on entitlement programs. Kudlow did not specify where future cuts would be made.
“We have to be tougher on spending,” White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said in remarks to the Economic Club of New York, adding that government spending was the reason for the wider budget deficits, not the Republican-led tax cuts activated this year.
“We’re going to run deficits of about 4 to 5 percent of GDP for the next year or two.... Going down the road, of course we’d like to slim that down as much as possible and we’ll work at it.”
Wow on all of that. Kudlow was reported to hve suffered a heart attacked in June 2018 and perhaps the lack of oxygen to his brain has affected his ability to think.
Kudlow went on to reiterate the time-honored Republican tradition of citing trickle-down economics, long fully debunked, in telling the audience that further tax cuts would make the economy stronger and lower deficits.
How are the leaders of this country complete idiots?
